I thank the voters who gave me their support. I thank them for having braved the media hype and not being allowed to dictate their vote in polls which replaced comment, day after day, the substantive debate during this campaign first round.

A majority of voters, however environmentalists preferred to vote for the socialist candidate, or even for the candidate of the UDF, in order to stave off fears of a new April 21, or the fear that they inspire a candidate right defending positions more in the most extreme.

I acknowledge that choice.

The Socialist candidate must not forget, however, in the second round the diversity of voters who voted for it.

I will vote on May 6 for Royal.

My support is unambiguous: the voters but environmentalists would mobilize even more in a second round that promises to be tight, it will show that it now wants to be the candidate for a dynamic union, which does not exclude them .
